Swirl Cupcakes
Reinventing - the unspoken rule for all avid bakers alike.
Since the nutella swirl cupcakes were so tasty, I decided to use the same base, but make some changes to the swirl. And made some improvements as well, after collating comments and criticisms from everyone who had tasted the cupcakes.
Just as Nic from bakingsheet mentioned in her post, the initial recipe by Donna Hay calls for peanut butter as the swirl. Is it coincidental that the Hubby absolutely loves peanut butter or what!
I decided to bake half of the batch of 12 cupcakes with peanut butter swirl. So much for reinventing huh.
Well, at least it wasn’t from lack of trying.
After much contemplation, I decided to keep the other half of the cupcakes with the nutella swirl.
How impossibly un-innovative can I get?
The Hubby gets to bring this batch of 10 cupcake to share with his colleagues tomorrow. I treat it as consoling a bunch of poor souls who need to work on a weekend.
