Review : Swirl Cupcakes
I’m a perfectionist. No two ways about that.
And I bring this trait right into the kitchen where I bake as a hobby as well.
Every recipe that I try out for the first time has to be repeated once or twice before I am satisfied that I have ‘perfected’ the recipe, so to speak.
As such, you may find my baking blog filled with posts of repeated recipes. Boring it may be, but please bear with me.
Tried out the swirl cupcake recipe twice. The first try was with 12 nutella swirls baked in standard muffin liners. The second try was with a combination of both nutella and peanut butter swirls. This batch had a yield of 10 because I changed to use cupcake liners.
The first batch was tasted by both the Hubby and my colleagues while the second batch was tasted by the Hubby and his colleagues.
Reviews had been good thus far. The cupcakes are somewhat different from the usual frosted cupcakes that we see and more importantly, they aren’t too much of a hassle to transport around.
Some find the nutella too little, and some find that it is too much that it overwhelms the taste of the cupcake itself. Some find it very nice and some find it a tad too sweet. I think it really depends on individual palate and what they prefer.
The idiot-proof recipe is really easy to follow, and I will definitely be using it again.
Still thinking of how I can reinvent the recipe.
I need some suggestions for the swirl. Cream cheese or strawberry jam, perhaps?

Cream cheese will be divine!!!!!

The thot of it makes me hungry.
You think so?
If that’s the case, I’m going to try using cream cheese the next time I bake the swirl cupcakes again.
