Birthday Gift

My birthday gift from The Hubby finally arrived today.  Well, not exactly… since the postman did come to our doorstep to deliver the parcel on Saturday when no one was home.

The Hubby was very nice to spend his off-day travelling to the Post Office Centre in Paya Lebar to pick up the parcel for me despite nursing a sprained waist/hip.

And what’s my birthday gift for this year?

Birthday Gift

3 books on cupcake recipes The Hubby bought for me over Amazon!  I am exhilarated at receiving my birthday gift.  Finally!  I waited almost a month for these books to arrive.  Yes, my birthday was almost a month ago.

These books don’t seem to be available in Singapore; at least I don’t see them at Borders or Kinokuniya.  And they are really worth the wait!

I flipped through the books casually and I was so captivated by many of the recipes I can’t wait to try them as soon as time permits!

Hiya, love ur fabulous collection of recipe books from amazon.com!
Do u have to pay tax when the books arrive in Sg? Im thinkin or ordering
online too from amazon but was wary whether have to pay additional tax
    when the books arrive?

    Susanna

  5. Hi Susanna,

No, I didn’t have to pay any tax when the books arrived in SG. Your credit card bill will reflect exactly what you paid for on Amazon itself.

    Hope that helps. :)

Thks for the info. Fantastic! Cant wait to start my recipe book collection
from amazon.com! Sometimes the books r discounted in amazon, even
with the additional shipping costs, its still cheaper
than buying here at inflated prices

    HI,

I love to bake cupcakes as well. I wonder if buttercream will easily melt in our hot humid weather. Coz i am thinking to sell them at night market
