Oh, Donna!
I was having a nap at home today afternoon trying to recover from a nasty bout of flu when a buzz from the intercom woke me up with a start. It was the security guard at the entrance of my estate calling up to check if I was expecting some registered document delivery.
I thought for quite a while. The only thing that I’m waiting for isn’t exactly considered documents, but I thought there wasn’t any harm saying ‘Yes’. Thought I’ll find out what it exacty was soon enough. Furthermore, The Hubby was home too. Nah… there wouldn’t be any threat of danger.
The Hubby answered the door and signed the parcel on my behalf as I was occupied with some task in the kitchen then. While shutting the door, he told me the parcel came from Australia.
Finally!
I was impatient to tear up the box just to make sure the contents were exactly what I was hoping there were. So after hastily taking a picture of the box, I opened it.
YESSSSH!!!

The 6 backdated issues I ordered from the Donna Hay website were in the box! I ordered them on 13th August and I only received them this afternoon.
Oh, Donna! You made me wait so long for them!

oh gosh…i’m so jealous
seriously, im not afraid to admit. haha. i’ve only got 1 pathetic issue of the mag, which was the july/aug one. so tell me, whats the procedure like to order these mags? and how much shipping did u pay? i think i’m gonna order them!
Evan, I went to her website at www.donnahay.com.au and it will direct me to the website which handles all subscriptions of her current and back issues.
I paid AU$15.95 for internation shipping.
yep i saw. but the shopping cart is abit cranky. i tried putting & removing items but it just won’t show. anyway $15.95 AUD$ is like not really cheap. its almost $19 a copy! my mum got for me the mag in malaysia, its only $11.20 when converted back to SGD. wow, would u really pay $8 more for the backdated copies? there has 2b some other ways. if they were cheaper, i might just order
Heh… think I was out of my mind that day.
There should be other ways. I might get friends who have families in Aussie to get them for me the next time. But I really don’t like imposing on others. Sigh…
yea same. i don’t like imposing on others too..unless i know they don’t mind :p anyway, how would they manage to get the backdated copies? i mean, if they could do that (probably by asking from news vendors or bookshops), surely we can do that in singapore too? oh gosh, i just love those donna hay mags. i wish i have every issue, all 28 of them!
so found anything you’d like to try from there? do try n post the recipe, so i can “steal” from u. hehe.
Hi Cadenze,
If you enjoyed “DELICIOUS” magazines too, you can get it at the sales at CARKIT showroom.

I went over today and last Saturday, it was a really good harvest for me.
Hi Evan,
I was thinking of asking them to order online in Aussie since it will be slightly cheaper with local shipping hehe. I haven’t got much time to really look through, but oh, there are some really great ideas to ‘decorate’ cupcakes etc.!
Hi Popcorn,
Thanks for the website. I’ve heard alot about “Delicious” magazines but haven’t come across so far. I’ll drop by one of these days and take a look.
