1st Attempt at Sushi-Making
I was looking around to input Japanese characters in this post, but couldn’t find any program to input all 3 Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji characters, so I had to settle in writing in English instead of Romanji.
Please let me know if you know of ways to input Japanese characters; in the meanwhile I’ll be fervently trying on my Fujitsu laptop.
So anyway, a colleague and I signed up for a sushi-making class, and here’s the evidence to tell how the 3 hours of lessons went!

We made the normal Maki sushi - Hosomaki, Fotomaki, Uramaki and Temaki. I’ve eaten both the California Temaki I made, so they aren’t in the picture.
Doesn’t look too bad for a beginner right? I think so too. If there’s any grouse I have, it’s the knife the school provided; the knife was not sharp enough, so I couldn’t cut my sushi ‘cleanly’. Other than that, it was a good class with a good instructor and good company. If you’re interested, go to The Sushi Academy and take a look!
Bought the Japanese rice, some seaweed and the sushi vinegar so I am ready to start rolling some sushi at home anytime! Let’s see if I’m in the mood tomorrow.

they look so good!!!! i would have thot u bot them from some restn if u didn’t say u made them! Teach me, teahch me!
