Pooch Food : Garlic Cheese Cookies
I have been away longer than promised, but I have a perfectly good reason - my hard disk crashed. And so, I have to wait for a few days before gettting a new PC, and a couple more days before the hubby gets Adobe Photoshop installed on my new PC.
Brought my two golden retrievers out for a gathering with other fellow golden retriever owners over the weekend, and had two friends coming over on Friday night to bake some cookies for our furkids. Instead of a Friday night-out, we had a Friday night-in and had a wonderful time!
Garlic Cheese Cookies
1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, finely shredded
1/4 cup butter, room temperature
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1-4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
pinch of salt
6-8 tbsp milk
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Prepare a baking sheet with baking paper.
- Mix together the cheese and butter till well-mixed.
- Rub in the sifted flour, garlic and salt into the mixture till it resembles bread crumbs.
- Add some milk a little at a time until the consistency is just right to form a stiff dough.
- Wrap the dough in cellophane wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough into 1/4 inch thickness and use cookies cutters to cut out the dough.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes or until cookies are golden brown in colour.
- Transfer the cookies to cool on wire rack before storing them in an air-tight container.
Yield : 50 cookies
There cannot be an easier recipe to follow, and the taste is not compromised at all! It smelled so good we were constantly taking one out of every batch fresh from the oven!

thank you for the reply. yes, that is the address i used. i mailed it out on tuesday and been checking daily for any reply. hoping to get a list of classes she is conducting so that i can sign up for it. maybe i should be more patient? :p
