Strawberry Hearts

Strawberry Hearts

This post is long overdue.  And I apologize for that.  Frankly, I can’t even remember which day it was when I attended Valerie’s workshop to learn how to bake these delectable strawberry hearts.

Confession time.  I have been meaning to make these strawberry hearts after attending the class but I have tons of excuses to give for not doing so.  I haven’t found the time to get down to Sun Lik to get the heart-shaped cutters, and I haven’t been seeing nice strawberries on sale.  Excuses, excuses, excuses.

Yes, I have the recipe, but no, I am not sharing it.  If you are interested to learn how to make these strawberry hearts, please email Valerie at valsworkshop@yahoo.com.sg for details on her upcoming workshops.

As for me?  I promise to try bake them really soon.  I have family and friends waiting to taste the legendary strawberry hearts. :P

    containers as in Val’s recipe?

    Cadenze,

Are you registered for any lesson wif Val? I can spare you 3 containers if you want cos one recipe of hers will use 3 nos…ie. for strawberry heart jelly/tofu cheesecake. Let me know as I have an upcoming class on quiche on the 17/5, muffins on 24/5 at the Serangoon CC. 23/5 Bishan North, June 14 & 21 at the Serangoon CC again.
BTW, I did make the jelly w/o using the containers and they turn out well. But wif the plastic thingy, they are stackable so saves space in the fridge….cheers!

  7. Hi Kay,

  16. Evon

Hi can i have the recipe for the Jelly Heart? And where can I get the strawberry heart cutter?!.
    Thanks :)

  17. Janet - Sorry, I’m not the one conducting classes. Valerie is. I’ll write her email at the end of this comment.

Winnie - I haven’t been able to get the containers. Sometimes they are available at Orchard OG. You can go try your luck. Strawberry Heart cutter is available at this store at Seah Street opposite Raffles Hotel. The name of the shop just eludes me now.

Evon - Sorry, you’ve gotta attend the lesson conducted by Valerie for the recipe.

Valerie may be contacted at valsworkshop@yahoo.com.sg
